Spring Sports Plans

Hey Parents and Athletes

We are planning the Spring sports season right now and registration for Youth Sports begins January 26th here at the Flastaff Family YMCA. We will be running T-Ball, Jr Suns Basketball, Indoor Soccer, Volleyball, and Flag Football. We are hoping that it will continue to be a light winter so the season can begin without a hitch on March 20th.

For Adult Sports, we are taking registrations for Adult Indoor Soccer right now. The soccer schedule will be posted as soon as the end of the month. We will be playing on Sundays starting the first week of February. I hope you are ready, because Jess and I will be ready to go with the rest of the YMCA team. If you have kids that want to play also. Jess is working on developing a serious youth soccer program. The idea of creating our own club team has been mentioned.

Most importasntly I would like to thank all of the volunteer parents that have stepped up to coach both their kids and so many more. We are always looking for more, so let us know because we are currently giving a $5 off of registration for any parents that volunteer to coach.

Though the YMCA is new in town, some old faces and new faces are here. Pretty soon Jordan Schroeder will be joining me in the Sports Department as a key face in the YMCA Sports family.

Hope to see you all soon at the Super Sign-Up Week from January 28th-February 5th.

Also, The YMCA Family Fitness Fair starts at 11:00AM on Saturday January 28th.

Adult Basketball League Sign Ups!

Our adult basketball leagues are currently accepting registrations. Sign up as an individual for 45 dollars or an entire team for 250 dollars before July 1. Games will be Thursday nights between 6pm and 8pm. League play starts July 15. Sign up now! 928-556-9622 or acirzan@vosymca.org.
